Just been comparing this with the previous post. It was taken from the top of the cliffs on the Shiant Isles in the Western Isles looking southwest towards Skye, South Uist and expanse of water that is The Minch between. I post it not because of the similar grey or the weak light on the horizon, but because of the compared space. One quiet, slippery, liminal and strangely accessible… the other, massive, distant and terrifying and of such scale that it reduces and enriches the human spirit at the same time.
….and what happens below the surface of that sea? ….now that’s a question asked less of the Norfolk tidal landscape.
